ANY MINUTE.....

There is a new fictional book available, written by Joyce Meyer. It has nothing to do with the fact that Joyce wrote it (as the Lord does not have me follow after any man/woman, famous Christian or not). Holy Spirit said "READ THIS BOOK" then the Lord opened the door for it to be majorly on sale. The Lord also doesn't typically have me read things when they come out - usually the books He puts into my hands have been written years earlier, just so He can show me His divine leading, purposes in His unique way.

The book synopsis from Joyce's site reads:

CAN SARAH HARPER DO WHAT'S RIGHT...BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE?

Aggressive investment broker Sarah Harper is overachieving at the office but missing the mark with her husband and son when an unexpected tragedy turns their lives upside down. This heartrending story—and its unexpected ending—will lead you to discover that what’s beyond your control is safe in God’s hands.

AND:

Sarah Harper is driven to achieve success no matter what the cost. She wants to do good and not hurt the people she loves—especially her son, Mitchell, her husband, Joe, and her daughter, Kate—but her desire to succeed in her career too often leaves little time for family.

One cold, rainy, autumn morning, all of that changes when Sarah’s car plunges off a bridge and into a river. As rescuers search desperately for her body, Sarah’s spirit is still very much alive. What she discovers on the other side transforms everything about Sarah’s view of life—past, present and future. And the unsuspecting world around her will never be the same again.

(END BOOK DESCRIPTION)

This book is phenomenal. A really quick read, flows amazingly well. During the part where Sarah is "dead" - the Lord displays hugely the same principles that are used in Theophostics - where Holy Spirit takes us back to the events in our past that have made us the way we are today (and determines how we react to things today, having its roots in those past events) - then shows us HIS PLACE in our lives - not only where the trouble began, where the lies were received and believed, but also where He is the solution NOW....powerful work.

There are a few small contradictions but mostly a work of the Lord. Two parts moved me to deep tears and intercession.

As always the Lord's timing is perfect - part of the book dealing with things He has revealed to me recently (such as the angels in our lives, etc)....

It is also a serious message to those who are walking after their own flesh, doing life their own way - and is timely considering my own family member being struck by lightning and God saying "JUST WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO GET YOUR ATTENTION???" (as the main character GOES OFF A BRIDGE IN HER CAR and only THEN God being able to to get HERS (attention))...

The Lord ISN'T PLAYING AROUND IN THIS HOUR - and if there is a "yes" toward Him in your heart that is deep, then no matter WHAT your OUTSIDES look like (actions, words, deeds, etc) - He will do WHATEVER IT TAKES to get your attention, to give you the opportunity to match your outsides with your insides in obedience, submission, surrender....to fully receive Him and walk wholly in His divine purpose for your life for His glory!

Yet another message of the book is walking in love - the part NOT SPOKEN BY THE BOOK is to be led by His Spirit and look for God-ordained opportunities to be given the chance to make someone else happy (lest it be works of YOUR FLESH) but nonetheless to be a blessing -to display Christ to the world - "any minute you might get your chance to be a giver" (for His glory)(09-01-2009 @ 6:31 PM)

Ask Him if and when He might permit you to read this book. He may not...but then again, He may! Let Him direct your life in ALL AREAS - don't just do a thing in and of yourself. This is encouragement to simply ASK, letting you know that Holy Spirit DID breathe this work.

  1. It also does a really good job of revealing personal selfishness, self-centeredness while also revealing how a person doesn't accept THEIR part of the blame in this - also stemming oftentimes from woundedness, rejection, etc in things from their past (even as far back as childhood)- Lots of great insight in many areas!

  3. Awesome - will certainly pray on it. The Lord recently kept me LITERALLY bed bound for several weeks with illness that the will not let me name. "I" was frustrated because "I" didn't understand why "I" was getting sick ALL the time. He didn't tell me why, just kept me sick - enough to be bed bound, thankfully, not enough to kill "me". It wasn't until "I" owned up to the fact that I wasn't walking in PERFECT obedience that He let me walk. LITERALLY He wouldn't let me even get out of the hospital bed until I listened PERFECTLY to what the Holy Spirit was saying. The hour is late, and He WILL do WHATEVER it takes to reach His children.

  4. the Lord rarely permits me to watch 'Christian' broadcasts - early this morning before He let me sleep, He told me to watch Joyce Meyer. She was speaking on COMPLAINING...saying we MUST STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT OUR JOURNEY IF WE ARE GOING TO ARRIVE. The Lord had her use the example of the Israelites - in the wilderness...how they saw the miracles and plagues of God, saw freedom, even got to keep their captors bounties - they KNEW THEIR GOD and yet once they got a little hungry in the wilderness they COMPLAINED and said they'd rather go back to captivity! (Exodus 15:21; Exodus 16:2-3). Only TWO of the original millions of people got to make it to the promised land. TWO! All who COMPLAINED were destroyed. The scripture even said, "And they said...." SAID - SPOKE OUT LOUD - BUT when we speak only faith-filled words it is released into the spirit-realm to create miracles; complaining (talking about our circumstances in any way shape or form allows the devil to come in and KILL US. Praise is God's language; complaining is the devil's language. Complaining reveals an unthankful heart, lack of humility - for as we complain we speak that there is nothing for us to be thankful for at all - and instead we are blessed to have ANYTHING including being alive to see another day. Worth watching TODAY while it may still be on the internet

  5. Will certainly check that out today. Thank you for sharing. That is precisely the message the Lord sent to me while I was ill until He said, "Did I not say that ALL things work together for My glory? Even difficult things? Illness? Poverty? ALL THINGS are for my glory". I praise Him for using anything in my life for His glory - if it brings death, Glory! If it brings joy, Glory!
