THIS IS THE TIME

Studying the word of God using a read-through-the-Bible-in-one-year plan (since January 1st) - right now finishing up Deuteronomy. Having followed Israel's progress, well, since the beginning - creation and the garden and Adam and Eve's rebellion, and Noah and the destruction of mankind (except for a few), and through the patriarchs; then through captivity and slavery in Egypt and then SWEET deliverance, freedom from captivity - only to end up wandering in the wilderness for 40 YEARS (yes, on what would have been an 11 day journey)... PLAINLY their own fault due to murmuring, and complaining, and sexual immorality and idolatry - God thusly having to let an entire generation literally DIE OUT in an attempt to try YET AGAIN to insure a people - a FAMILY OF GOD - that would be a people of faith, obedience and love.

The pattern of the Bible. Awesome examples of God and His faithfulness and wisdom and power, mercy and justice and judgment and love. MAN experiencing it, trying (even sometimes not really) and blowing it (mostly) - minus the amazing testimonies of the truly FAITHFUL who DID wholly follow after God....

So here we are - Deuteronomy - ready to enter the promised land with the generation deemed "faithful". They are all sitting on this side of Jordan (the promises of God), receiving final instructions from Moses (quite possibly one of the greatest men of God to walk this earth...having been led BY GOD HIMSELF and fed by God, having seen miracles, signs and wonders; being sheparded faithful by His #1 man Moses....they're ALMOST THERE!

and...WHAT HAPPENS?

God asks Moses and Joshua to come to the tabernacle...and He appears in that tabernacle in a pillar of cloud. HERE IS GOD TO TALK WITH THEM - with His INSTRUCTIONS before the promised land!!

And GOD says to Moses (in a nutshell)(Deuteronomy 31:19):

"You're going to die (Moses). This people will rise up and go after strange gods; they're gonna forsake Me and break My covenant which I made with them. And I'm going to get angry - so angry. I'm going to forsake them and hide My face from them - they're gonna be DEVOURED, experiencing many evils and troubles - all without Me."

"So here's what I want you to do - I want you to WRITE THIS DOWN - write this song about all the wrong things they're going to do, how they're going to be disobedient and walk away from Me and break our covenant - I want you to teach it to them, have them memorize it, then SING IT as a memorial..."

A SONG about how disobedient they will be. Which will cost them their relationship with Almighty God - EVERYTHING - His favor, His provision, His presence, His love.

Uhhhhhh.....

Can you get a sense of the LORD'S heartbreak?

EVERYONE tends to point out (when anyone refers to the Old Testament) that we are under a NEW COVENANT - and that alllllll of God's anger and wrath for US was poured out upon Jesus. Which is absolutely true.

But doesn't He tell us also that He is the SAME yesterday, today and forever? Is that supposed to mean that SIN and DISOBEDIENCE and IDOLATRY no longer bother Him, no longer ANGER HIM? That our DISRESPECT and blatant disobedience NO LONGER CAUSE HIM PAIN? And WHAT OF RELATIONSHIP with Him - don't tell me that because of JESUS you can't disappoint God or cause His presence and anointing to back up off of your life.

RIGHT BEFORE THIS writing of the disappointing song of Israel's up and coming departure from the Lord, (same chapter)(Deuteronomy 31:9-11):

9 And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and unto all the elders of Israel.
10 And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,
11 When all Israel is come to appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

They are supposed to READ IT OUT LOUD before allllllll of Israel - forever. So that Israel will hear the words of the Lord.

Part of the job of the Levites was to minister the word of God to the nation. EVERY 7 YEARS was to be a public reading (you can read about one instance of how it was done in Nehemiah 8:1-8). The first known public reading of the Law was in Joshua 8:30. The next time we hear of it was during the reign of Jehoshaphat (2 Chronicles 17:7 - more than 500 years later! THEN during the reign of Josiah - 2 Chronicles 34:30 - another 250 years since the last time. Now considering that there may have been unrecorded public readings that we are unaware of (the fact that only 3 instances are readily found typically means that these three instances were unusual, NOT typical) - the point is that this type of neglect of God's word would easily point to WHY Israel was so often in trouble. If for NO OTHER REASON, Israel could have come to a personal relationship with their God from listening to, partaking of His Word. (Who has ears to hear....)

Hasn't this been the pattern throughout the Bible? Of people actually LITERALLY walking and talking with God - from the garden to the wilderness! - and honestly even the disciples in the New Testament who literally walked with Jesus (and all of their personal issues in spite of...)....- having seen things that people TODAY BEG TO SEE (Oh if i could only see a sign...something miraculous...then i'd believe....)...yet FAILING HIM - and ultimately THEMSELVES? TODAY of watering down the Word, and tickling the ears, and using grace as a "get out of jail free card". Of big platforms, and famous ministry and mega-churches and worldly worship and spectator-audience teaching, and family game night and BBQs instead of prayer night.... Of having to "make time" in our convenience-store-drive-thru lives instead of scheduling OUR time around HIM.

How different are WE, really?

THE COST OF DISOBEDIENCE IS STAGGERING. The COST OF REMOVING OURSELVES FROM HIS WORD, HIS PRESENCE is heartbreaking.

As every single day we are that much closer to the return of the Lord...wouldn't it be something if WE became the generation that BROKE THE MOLD? That WE could be the family, the children that the Lord could be PROUD OF? To be all He ever longed for when They created us in the first place?

When i was a little Jewish girl, NOTHING made my heart soar like knowing my earthly dad was proud of me. The LORD has ALWAYS afforded me the perspective of seeing a bit through His eyes, of feeling a bit of His heart in regards to humans and our attitudes (or lack thereof) towards Him (having been called to minister, first and foremost, unto Him).

It truly is an hour when we can do our part (yes, we do have a part) to make our Abba proud of us. Of doing the lives He has blessed us with HIS WAY, putting HIM FIRST, letting HIM LEAD; our ONLY SENSE OF PURPOSE being HIS PURPOSES.

Oh - let us use this time of this "extra time off from the world" SABBATH (this time of what evil meant for harm, instead using for GOOD!) to come to His throne, sitting at His feet - in worship, in listening, in gleaning - in adoration, in humility, in obedience, in love.

TRULY - HE is worthy.

"TRAIN UP A CHILD IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO..." legacy being fulfilled

Rarely does the Lord permit me to speak of personal things. Especially He has taught me that to honor my earthly father and mother is accomplished through being obedient unto God. On Father's Day especially Holy Spirit has always had me honor my heavenly Father, Abba...as the One worthy of all praise.

Recently into my hands I received my earthly dad's Bar Mitzvah speech - written in 1945 at the age of 13. (NOTE: The Holocause time span went from 1933 until 1945 - so being raise as a Jew in this time was significant). I have been waiting for it for years, and in that God is perfect, now is the perfect time. He has asked me to share it - and i am wholly honored and blessed that this man - Ronold Jerome Baim - was chosen by God to be my earthly dad - a man of substance, character and most importantly God.

SPEECH:

Today, I am celebrating my Bar Mitzvah, an event, which i shall always remember. I shall remember it not for the fact that according to the old Jewish tradition I become a full member of the Jewish community today, but more so for the fact that I realize today the task that lies before me which must be fulfilled by me if i want to be a Bar Mitzvah, a Son of Duty. During the periods of my instruction, we have spoken about the duties that a Bar Mitzvah has to fulfill. We have tried to find an answer to the question: What does it mean to be a Jew?

I think I have found one answer to this question in my own personal life. To be a good Jew means for me to help with all my power to create a better understanding between all men of all creeds. For me this means really something - it is not only words that I am speaking here - because I have learned probably more than most people can imagine how this better understanding can be promoted. And I am very proud of the fact that I have been raised in a home where the parents are of a different creed - and yet,I have seen that there was and is absolute respect for each other and so also for all peoples. So my sisters, my brother and I have learned through the example of my beloved parents, not only to tolerate, but to respect others and to create this better understanding, which is necessary for the building of a new and better world, in which Jew and non-Jew alike live peacefully and full of understanding together.

We have been raised as Jewish children, and I am immensely proud and happy about the fact that I become a Bar Mitzvah on this day. And with the task that I am accepting today, I realize that we Jews have a greater and more pressing responsibility towards creating this understanding, or which I spoke, than perhaps any other religious community, because we are a minority, and we have learned in our history studies, that progress and advancement have always come from the few who therefore had a harder struggle to survive. And we realize: If we want to keep our religion, and thus ourselves, alive, we must strive after the cooperation of all men. We all must work together and live together in peace and harmony, as it has been expressed by William T. Card in his poem, "Teamwork", where he says:

"A flake of snow is very small,
'Tis lost to sight quite quickly:
But many flakes combined will fill,
The roads and pathways thickly,
United we can face the fight,
Without distress or fuss:
A little less of you or me,
A little more of us."

I want to take this opportunity to thank once again the rabbi, my teachers - and above all my beloved parents for all they have done for me, so that this happy day has been made possible for me. I hope and pray that God will give me strength to live up to my duties and may do justice to all men.

GOD, YOUR GOD, WILL OUTDO HIMSELF....

MIRACULOUS STORY: I ordered this bracelet from Israel last September 2016. It was inexpensive, “things” don’t mean anything to me, yet this was FROM ISRAEL and it was special.

On January 4th, 2018 I went to the 24 hour grocery store after midnight - weather was crazy bad, I was the only shopper. I was tired, ready to get home. In the brief time I was in the store I came out and the car was covered in snow. There was a guy speedily/crazily plowing the store parking lot. When I got home i noticed the long wrap part of my bracelet was gone. I thought “how can it be found - lots of snow, other shoppers to come, even a plow” while saying a little prayer “Lord help me find it or may it bless the finder”. I did call the store in the morning and no one had found it/turned it in.

FAST FORWARD: Just last night (01/26/18) I told my daughter I wish I knew what it was called (what type of bracelet) so I could google it and try to find another. I had tried to contact the original seller but to no avail. It was on my mind all of a sudden...

TODAY: I was out on my front porch early and saw something glittering on the ground - IT WAS THE BRACELET!!! Twenty-three days after losing it/later there it was, laying in a part of my yard I NEVER go to; it’s as if The Lord just lay it there in my line of sight for me to find. No way, no reason in the natural for it to be in that spot. None.

More sweet is the fact that today is Jewish Holocaust Remembrance Day - when all of my fellow countrymen lost their very lives (yet not before they had all of their personal belongings ripped from their possession INCLUDING JEWELRY). God always outdoes Himself.

Thank You, Lord for always showing Yourself to be the loving, genuine, unique Lover of my soul that most cannot fathom.

YOU DO REMEMBER WHO IS IN CHARGE - DON'T YOU???

ABOUT THESE HURRICANES:
The Lord has been speaking to me all day long about posts by christians regarding the upcoming hurricane. One implored, "I need 1000 people to agree with me in prayer that Hurricane Irma will go away." So many others saying similar things.

There are two seriously important questions not being addressed:

1) WHAT IS THE LORD'S PERFECT WILL REGARDING THIS SITUATION? IS THIS AN ORDAINED EVENT?
2) DID ANYONE BOTHER TO ASK GOD HOW TO PRAY?

I don't recollect it being a good idea to tell God how to do things. I can't find anything in the Bible that says "Pray whatever you want and don't ask Me about it." The lesser observation here (NOT less in that ALL scripture is HIM - just less in that one can pray or 1000 can pray - but it all needs to be according to HIS WILL)....the scriptures brought to mind: "One man can chase a thousand (Joshua 23:10) and two shall put ten thousand to flight (Deuteronomy 32:29-31)"; or "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20). But surely ONE PERSON with the RIGHT AUTHORITY - if ordered by God to rebuke the storm - it HAS to obey.

Ah - but do any have that authority in this specific situation?

I am permitted to say that when the Lord asks me to rebuke storms, there is always PROOF - many screen grabs of Doplar Radar of before (what the meteorologists/weather reports SAY/SHOW is coming) and after (when He has told me to rebuke the storm/take authority and command it to cease the image then shows how they split in half or disappear altogether). Always. This goes for tornadoes as well.

The very best prayer - the "most wise" prayer that i was shown - was the prayer that said "Lord be with every person in the path of the storm."

CAN we pray away storms like Irma? Yep - absolutely.
Are we SUPPOSED to pray away Irma? Hmmm...well, did anyone bother to ASK THE LORD what He's doing/allowing?

Because sometimes He calms the storm and sometimes He calms His children.

America is on a path far far away from God - so does anyone care if He might use something like Irma to bring about repentance?

He did not sent me here tonight to tell you what He is doing.
He sent me to implore those who CLAIM TO BE HIS to seek HIM in ALL MATTERS - to ALWAYS long to know what He wants. You don't even HAVE to know why....you just have to be willing to be OBEDIENT and TRUST HIM that He truly knows what He is doing. It is, after all HIS creation - He knows best how to manage it.

PERISHING SOULS: WHERE IS THE BODY OF CHRIST IN THIS HOUR?

WHERE IS THE TRUE BODY OF CHRIST AND WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THEIR PRIORITIES???
There is not one thing in the bible admonishing us to be POLITICAL
There is not one thing in the bible admonishing us to be PATRIOTIC
We are to be about the Father's business
My bible admonishes us to GO INTO ALL THE WORLD AND PREACH THE GOSPEL
He proclaims that we are IN the world but not OF the world

STOP MAKING DECISIONS, FIGHTING BATTLES due to political agendas, party politics, and what everyone else is doing!
We WRESTLE NOT with FLESH AND BLOOD!
What happened to "i do ONLY THAT which i see the Father doing; i speak ONLY THAT which i hear the Father speaking?!
ASK HIM what you are to talk about
ASK HIM what you are to fight for
Are you fighting for SOULS?
Why is the Body being SUCKED INTO THE WAYS OF THE WORLD?!

PRAY like you've NEVER PRAYED BEFORE
HEAR HIM and MAKE SURE IT IS HIM

Is it so difficult to make a stand for HIS KINGDOM AND HIS GLORY from the pulpit instead of getting on board the hate train?

For His sake
For humanity's sake

PRIORITY: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO???

in the midst of this amazing story of selfless generosity - WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE PICTURE OF MEGA CHURCH MEGA MILLIONAIRE PASTOR JOEL OSTEEN KEEPING HIS CHURCH CLOSED AND NOT HELPING THOSE AFFECTED BY FLOODING IN TEXAS? NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS SHOULD SOMETHING LIKE THAT HAVE HAPPENED. SURELY JESUS IS WEEPING....

LOVE'S IN NEED OF LOVE TODAY

Just saw this image in the news (It's interesting that this story (from Switzerland) surfaced today (with all the talk of white supremacy)- I'm stunned. It's 2017 yet this is CURRENTLY posted at a Swiss hotel. No other faith was asked to shower - just Jews.

I was born in 1958 and raised Jewish (in Indiana) -we lived in a Polish catholic neighborhood; because I was Jewish I wasn't allowed to walk on their sidewalks, go in their yards and houses, or play with their children. One mother told me (when I was five years old) that I killed Jesus. At the time I had no idea who Jesus was. When Jesus found me in 1984 and chose me as His own, I learned forgiveness.

When I share my story (of how I was traumatized by racists as a child) with other people who are discriminated against they tend to belittle my experience, saying things like, "yes but MY situation is different." But you see, it's really NOT! Hate is hate. Hate is evil. If you would seriously consider all of the different people groups discriminated against - who is left out? NO ONE! (Yes even white people!)

Whose job is it to steal, kill and destroy?
To stir the pot, rustle up innuendo, create suspicion, to make us hate one another?

Oh don't you see?

There is so much hate going around. I implore and adjure you - DON'T get sucked in. Don't try and fight hate with more hate. Ask God to unveil your eyes to see the truth. Cover all in His blood and in prayer. Pray-ers need to fervently pray as led by Holy Spirit. Learn to walk in love and not hate. Learn to see Jesus in every person who crosses your path. Love for HIS sake. Remember - God made man in HIS LIKENESS. See HIM in everyone! Treat people as you would like to be treated. Better still, treat people as if you were face to face with God. There is no greater time on earth than now to consider "what WOULD Jesus do?"
